I came in really thinking that this would help me manage the stress of the pandemic and a separation...and it did. The reminders to listen to my body and trust my own inner genius, the option to follow the traffic light method, and the reminders that I can choose to take just a few minutes to get in touch with my body, reflect in what is needed in any given moment, and journal and have time in nature. I like the variety of styles based on each chakra. It was accessible to all levels and was very encouraging knowing HOW accessible I, as a teacher, can make yoga for a variety of people AND, it helped me in working with the existing demographic I live/work amongst. If i hadn't had this course, i don't know if i could have become aware of such variety to offer. Slowing down and hearing a variety of perspectives as it relates to listening to our body to see where the stress is coming from was/IS tremendous! THEN, witnessing the variety of practices for different body types / ages was extremely helpful and helped dial down the 'fitness' side of yoga in the west allowing expansion in understanding how many sides there are to yoga and how accessible it can become, if we only take the time to slow down and learn the variety of modalities yoga has to offer.
