Day 1Friday · at sea

Time and Space to Tap Into the Genius Within You.

Our first full day, away from it all. We meet in the morning on deck to reconnect our mind, body, heart, and spirit and to tap into the genius that is already within each one of us. We then engage in a genius circle - a coaching session to explore your genius potential and to remove the blocks that are preventing you from sharing it.

Day 2Saturday · Grand Turk

Move into your Genius Era On the Historic Island of Grand Turks/Turks and Caicos

On Day 2 we arrive in Grand Turks - the historic capital of Turks and Caicos, the presumed first landfall site of Christopher Columbus in 1492, and the splashdown site where astronaut John Glenn first set foot on dry land after orbiting Earth in 1962. Here you can make your own history by allowing into the island's healing presence to empower you to move into your Genius Era.

Our last full day at sea offers us the time, spaces and healing presence we need to break out our plans for prosperity in 2027 - so we can create the genius lifestyle that supports our personal and professional empowerment. All participants receive a tailored coaching in real-time by Dr. Carmack.

    Embark

    Sail from Miami, FL

    Board in the afternoon and unpack once. Welcome gathering on deck as we wave bon voyage to the coastline, then enjoy our first dinner together. You can then turn in early or enjoy the many entertainment options on board!

  2. Fri, Feb 12

    Full Day At Sea

    Our first full day together begins with an early-morning sunrise practice followed by a day dedicated to giving you time to center yourself in whatever way you like. Then close the day with our first Genius Coaching Circle led by Dr. Carmack and our group dinner together.

  3. Sat, Feb 13

    Grand Turk

    Today you can choose to step ashore to visit this historic island with our group or to stay on the ship for some quiet time. Then, after sail-away at 4 pm, we'll meet together to share how our days went and to take time to share where our genius is calling us next.

    Full Day At Sea

    On this day celebrating love, we consider how we can build a genius life we love. This day includes a mini-workshop focused on setting your strategy goals for success in 2027 - with feedback from Dr. Carmack and your fellow geniuses.

    Today is the day we dock back in Miami, and we head back home. And, we stay connected as a community to support each other in transforming the dreams envisioned on this weekend get-away reality!

Saturday Ashore

Grand Turk is a Genius Place

Powder-white sand, water that runs through four shades of turquoise, and an island that stays small and unhurried. No high-rises. Nobody moving you along.

Play is the priority. Spend the day however it recharges you — swim, walk, take in the view, find a chair and think — on your own or with the geniuses on this journey. Both are the right answer.

The ocean does something a meeting room never will. Sit with it long enough and it quietly reminds you of the genius you have within you, and that none of us is doing any of this alone.

That evening we come back aboard for a Genius Circle over dinner to explore how we are showing up for ourselves, and how we can show up for our communities in a way that builds inspiration, impact and income.

Please note: Ports and times are set by Royal Caribbean and can change for weather or safety. Book flights home for the afternoon of February 15 or later.

Freedom came out of Royal Caribbean’s Amplified refit with an entirely redesigned pool scene. Two full sea days means two full days of it.

Dining from "Italy" to "Japan"

Main dining and the Windjammer are included with your fare. If you want to wander, there’s Giovanni’s Italian Kitchen, hand-rolled sushi and tableside teppanyaki at Izumi, and tacos at El Loco Fresh. Specialty spots cost extra.

Evenings

The Lime & Coconut

Two stories of Caribbean bar with a rooftop deck that turns into a moonlit lounge once the sun goes down. This is where the after-dinner conversations happen.

The Perfect Storm

Three stories of twisting waterslides, the FlowRider surf simulator, and glow-in-the-dark laser tag. You are an adult and nobody can stop you.

Company

Playmakers Sports Bar

Sports on every screen, an arcade, and skee-ball. A surprisingly good place to keep talking when the circle ends and nobody wants to go to bed.

Quiet

Somewhere to disappear

The thing nobody advertises: on a ship this size there is always an empty deck chair facing open water. Most of the real thinking happens there.

Did you know? Royal Caribbean calls Freedom their best ship for first-time cruisers, so this is a wonderful way to begin if you are new to cruising.

Dr. Suzie Carmack

Founder of YogaMedCo, author of Genius Breaks, Yoga for One and The Chakras of Business, and creator of the Traffic Light Method.

I believe that each of us has a genius within ourselves - that we can tap into at anytime. That's why I wrote my book Genius Breaks in 2017 - to share the tools of mindfulness, movement and meaning (self-talk) to empower everyone to take a moment to connect with their inner genius.

But sometimes we need more than just a few minutes a day - we need a few full days away from our daily demands at work and at home. That's why I started offering annual Genius Break Away retreats in 2021 - and have loved bringing geniuses together from all over the world to connect to their inner genius and each other. Together we co-create a community that is empowering for the mind, body, and spirit - while building businesses that give us the freedom to create a genius life in however we define it.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a business retreat or a wellness retreat?
Both, on purpose. The centering work is what makes the business work land — you can’t make good decisions about your offer, your pricing or your next year while your nervous system is running on empty. We do them in that order for a reason.
I’ve never done yoga. Am I going to be out of place?
Not at all. Every practice is taught three ways at the same time — chair-based, mat-based and standing — and you can change your mind mid-session. Plenty of people come for the thinking and treat the movement as optional.
Who else will be there?
Coaches, yoga therapists, teachers, founders and soulpreneurs from all over the world, at a lot of different stages. The group stays small on purpose so the Genius Circle is a real conversation, not a room of raised hands.
Can I bring my partner if they’re not doing the program?
Yes, and people do. The double occupancy figure is per person, so you each invest the cabin rate. They’re welcome at the meals and welcome to spend the whole trip by the pool instead — it’s a cruise ship, there’s plenty to do.
I’m coming alone. Will that be awkward?
Most people come alone. Single occupancy gives you your own room, and we eat together every night, so there’s always a table waiting for you.
Will I have wifi? I can’t fully disappear.
Internet packages are available onboard through Royal Caribbean if you need them. That said — the reason this works is that being at sea makes it socially acceptable to be unreachable. Consider using that.
What does the $300 deposit actually do?
It holds your place in the group and your cabin category, and it comes off your total. It’s the only thing due before the August 19 cutoff.
Is the deposit refundable?
Yes. Your deposit is refundable less a $100 processing fee, as long as you request it no later than November 1, 2026. After that date the deposit is non-refundable.
When is my balance due?
Your full balance is due to YogaMedCo by November 1, 2026. If payment isn’t received by that date, Royal Caribbean releases the cabin and we won’t be able to hold your place.
Do I need a passport?
A valid passport is the simplest way to travel and we recommend it. Royal Caribbean’s current documentation requirements come with your booking confirmation — check them as soon as you have it.
Why does the deposit close so soon?
Because the group rate and our block of cabins are held until August 19. After that the rooms go back to the cruise line, and the rates on this page go with them.

Single occupancy gives you the whole cabin to yourself and double occupancy is for a shared room. If registering with a friend please register separately.
